College Scholarships USA – Women’s & Men’s Event Success!

College Scholarships USA hosted the Women’s and Men’s October dual Client Game and Trial Day event at FAW Colliers Park, Wrexham.
After a long wait for these events to resume following the Pandemic, we hosted another successful dual event for current clients and potential student-athletes.
WOMEN’S EVENT
The Clients of CSUSA took on Accrington Stanley Girls in the morning and it was a fantastic display. The unity and understanding of the team was phenomenal and the performance reflected that. It is a huge credit to the talent of these players considering they have never played with each other and were put together on the day. Great characteristics and traits for the future!
Whilst allowing our client’s maximum exposure to coaches to recruit from all over the USA, the rest of our team presented information about soccer in the USA and what it takes to make the journey to become a student-athlete in the USA, to prospective student-athletes.
Following the presentation, it was the trialists turn to play and showcase their abilities to allow us to assess their capabilities and opportunities.
A young group of players that travelled from all over the country to attend it was another fantastic performance and was impressive to see how quickly they all bonded.
We are really thankful to Accrington for providing opposition for our girls to play and was humbled to hear the coaches thoughts after – “A great game of football today and some fantastic talented players on show. A great advert for the Women’s Game and we wish them well in their future in the USA.”
Following the successful event on Saturday, Team UK then travelled to Evesham for the week to brainstorm, enjoy finally being able to all get together again and prepare for the Men’s event the following Saturday.
MEN’S EVENT
The following Saturday we travelled back to Collier’s Park and welcomed the Men’s clients and trialists. Another short presentation and guest speaker Craig Rogers – (Cloud Community College, Oral Roberts University, Aberystwyth FC, Airbus United) who spoke fondly of his soccer career, and shed some light to our clients and trialists on what it takes to be successful and his journey from the UK to the USA to being a professional soccer player.
Craig then stayed and watched the Men’s game which was another belter of a performance. The commitment and dedication shone through again, with some players having travelled from Finland, Ireland, and the South of England to attend!
A fantastic and fast-paced game finishing 8-8!

Both the girls and guys were exceptional and were outstanding in not only their performances but as role models for any future trialists and potentials seeking an avenue to the USA. They possess the talent and attributes of any college athlete in the USA and they all have exciting futures ahead of them.”
A hugely successful and rewarding week, we couldn’t have asked for more and now it is time to work hard on securing futures for these prospective players, US-bound.
