SHOWCASE POSTPONED
(6th Dec 2021) Unfortunately, due to the rapidly evolving situation and current uncertainty regarding the new rapidly spreading COVID-19 variant Omicron in Europe and restrictions being implemented across the different countries of our Showcase participants, we have concluded that we cannot hold an event that will live up to the quality we and any Showcase participant would expect, nor to the safety standards that would be required.
As a result, we have decided that our Scandinavian Showcase in Gothenburg, Sweden from 17-19th Dec will be postponed.
Our goal is to hold the Showcase in winter/spring 2022. Details on the event, when ready, will be posted on our website and in social media channels.
Welcome to our showcase!
In December, Team CSUSA will once again host our fantastic college soccer showcase for men. This is a 3-day event being held in the state-of-the-art indoor facilities at Serneke Arena in Gothenburg, Sweden. Have a look at the teaser video to see what it’s all about.
The showcase is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your talent and skills for college coaches from American universities that will be recruiting players to their men’s soccer programs. In addition to playing a tournament against players from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark this is also a great event to learn more about the life of a student-athlete in the U.S, scholarships, and the entire college recruiting process.
Last time we hosted our showcase we had over 50 college coaches in attendance, across all divisions including NCAA D1, NCAA D2, NCAA D3 and NAIA. Plenty of our players received scholarship offers after impressing the coaches. The interest is great from American coaches to attend the event to recruit players, and the Swedish rules for entry into the country for fully vaccinated people make this possible.
This is also a great opportunity for the CSUSA staff to closely evaluate your chances of getting a soccer scholarship, and for us to see our clients in action. For the players that did not receive a scholarship offer directly from the showcase in previous years, we helped receive offers from other schools in the U.S.
The showcase is open both for CSUSA clients and players that are not yet CSUSA clients. There’s a large level of interest for this event and limited spots, so we recommend you to register sooner rather than later.
An evaluation of players selected for the showcase will be made through the coming month or so on a rolling basis. Parents are very welcome as spectators and can attend our college workshops that we will arrange during the weekend.
