“That I would graduate with a bachelor’s degree combined with playing soccer at a high level is something that I never knew was possible. Earning a college scholarship made that happen for me, which changed my life. During my college career I’ve been challenged and pushed to get out of my comfort zone both on a personal level but also academic- and in sports. I had the privilege of meeting people from all cultures, coming from different parts of the world. By meeting these people, I made some of my now best friends. Looking back at my journey I realize how much of an impact my fellow student-athletes had on me, everyday I got to learn from their relentlessness, courage and drive. I look back on all my memories from college with gratitude that I was able to play the sport I love, be surrounded by my best friends and travel all over the U.S whilst getting a degree. My college adventure prepared me in the best way possible for my future in Sweden playing professional soccer while helping others to take on the journey as a student-athlete which for me was the best four years of my life.”
