Astrid is a Sports Consultant working primarily with Track & Field athletes.
Astrid Rosvall-Somaratne works as a Sports Consultant at CSUSA Sweden. She graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a BA in Sociology and is a former NCAA D1 student-athlete. Astrid joined Team CSUSA in June 2023, and is primarily working with our Track and Field athletes.
Astrid Rosvall-Somaratne started her college career at University of Texas, Arlington (UTA) in 2017. UTA competes in the Sunbelt Conference (SBC) in NCAA D1. As a freshman, she won the Sunbelt Indoor Conference Championships in 800m and was the runner-up in the mile. In addition, she was named the SBC Indoor Freshman of the Year.
After a year and a half at UTA, she transferred to University of California, Santa Barbara to continue her career as a student-athlete. UCSB competes in the Big West Conference (BWC) in NCAA D1. During her first year at UCSB, Astrid placed 5th at the Big West Cross Country Championships, 3rd in 800m, and 2nd in 1500m at the Big West Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
As a senior, Astrid won the title as Big West Outdoor Champion in the 800m and 1500m. She also broke the 800m school record with a time of 2,04.87 and qualified for the NCAA D1 Championships. At the NCAA D1 Championships, Astrid concluded her career as a student-athlete with All-American Honors after placing 16th in the 800m.
After graduating in 2021, Astrid stayed in Santa Barbara to work for two years before moving back to Stockholm to join the CSUSA team.

I met some of the most amazing people, got to travel places I never would have know to visit, and grew both as an athlete and a person.”
